FROM POPOZAO TO PAPARAZZO? Britney Spears’ constant companion for the past few weeks has been Afghani-born Adnan Ghalib, the 35-year-old “photojournalist” who’s deeply “embedded” in his subject. Has the lensman turned wangsman (as is widely surmised)?
Ghalib, who is a married man, claims he and Britney are just friends—friends who have sleepovers at fancy hotels and hang out at her house. Guess Britney believes in keeping friends close and her enemies closer. Ghalib had been stalking Britney for the FinalPixx agency (and pulling in $200,000 a year) when she picked him out of the swarm of shutterbugs who feed off her night and day. A sybaritic, if symbotic, relationship.
“I think she’s a great person,” he told ABC’s 20/20. “It’s unfortunate that she’s the way she is, because of the people she surrounds herself with.” (See above. Shutterbugs, swarm of.)
Right now, the Adnan Affair is the talk of Hollywood and Bollywood blogs alike, but who knows how it’ll last? Remind us of another affair …. The one involving a princess, a guy named Dodi, and a pack of papparazzi.
Britney Spears, Adnan Ghalib Shack Up in Palm Springs
Wearing a black wig and dark sunglasses, Britney Spears ducked into a hotel in Palm Springs with celebrity news photographer Adnan Ghalib around 2 a.m. on January 2 - and then checked out promptly around 7 a.m.
Spears and Ghalib went to one of the $1,200-a-night-plus villas, with two other men - apparently her security guards - following right behind them.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Spears has spent time in a hotel with Adnan Ghalib. They also spent New Year’s together, and the day before Christmas.
While details vary, Spears certainly has some relationship with the photographer, who proclaimed to a tabloid in September, “I’ll get her sooner or later.”
Last week, Ghalib “comforted her” at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Adnan said at the time that he and Britney Spears are merely platonic, that “we are just friends. She was just a little upset, pretty much about everything.”

Seen with Britney Spears, Adnan Ghalib declined comment on his rendezvous.
The photographer, who works for the agency Finalpixx, did tell ABC’s 20/20 that he’s made up to $200,000 a year taking Britney Spears photos.
He has also called the singer “awesome.” He must not own her CDs.
“I think she’s a great person,” Adnan Ghalib said. “It’s unfortunate that she’s the way she is, because of the people she surrounds herself with.”
One magazine hitting newsstands this week claims that Britney Spears did in fact hookup with photographer Adnan Ghalib on December 22 in her Peninsula Hotel Room.
Ghalib has already said - no they did not! They just sat and talked.

What happened outside that day everyone knows. The evening ended with Spears changing clothes yet again into the above seductive dress and pink wig and checking into the Beverly Hills Hotel with Ghalib visiting.
