Gretchen Frances Wilson (born June 26, 1973 in Pocahontas, Illinois) is an American earth music singer-songwriter. She drew up her debut in 2004 in on the Grammy Award-winning single “Redneck Woman”; a Number One hit on the Billboard world charts the song served as the lead-off single to her debut album Here for the Party. Early life
Gretchen Wilson was born in Pocahontas, Illinois to a 16-year-old mother. Her dad left before she was two decades old, and she and her father lived in trailer parks and relative poverty. Here for the Party

Her primarily single, “Redneck Woman”, was released in the first part of 2004 and obtained the top of the Hot Country Songs charts and #22 on the Billboard Hot 100. The feat of “Redneck Woman” prompted an earlier-than-planned release for Here for the Party, and it debuted at #1 on the Billboard nation chart. It furthermore made it to #2 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Internet album dealings charts. She performed as a substantiation artist for Brooks & Dunn and Montgomery Gentry.
She released the title track to her debut album as the minute single. It peaked at #3 on the Billboard earth chart. Two !no! songs got released as singles, and both achieved the top 10. All Jacked Up
On September 27, 2005, Gretchen released her moment album, All Jacked Up, that peaked at #1 on both the Top 200 and Country album charts and purchased 1 million copies. The title track debuted at #21 on the Hot Country Songs charts, setting a include for the record debut repeatedly earned by a female artist; presently list was broken in late 2007 by Carrie Underwood’s “So Small”. On May 15, 2007, Gretchen released her third album, One of the Boys. The album debuted at #5 on the Top 200 and at #1 on the Country album chart. After 11 weeks, it exited the Billboard Top 200, suffering purchased 178,220 copies at overly point. “Come to Bed” and the title track, the first and foremost two singles released, both peaked in the thirties on the nation charts, additonally the third and closing single (”You Don’t Have to Go Home”) failed to make contact with Top 40.
I Got Your Country Right Here
On July 14, 2008, Gretchen released a new single, “Don’t Do Me No Good”. Her fourth studio effort, I Got Your Country Right Here is at this moment scheduled to be released in October 2008. No track record or release date has been heard announced.
