Miss Teen USA pageant crowned the new titleholder on Saturday (July 16): Danielle Doty in Harlingen, Texas.

18 - year-old Audra Mari beat North Dakota to win the title and will take over from the reigning Miss Teen USA Kami Crawford in Maryland. Other finalists were Alexis Swanstrom (California, the second runner-up), Taylor Clark (Kansas, the third runner-up) and Sydnee Stottlemyre (Missouri, fourth runner-up).

Miss Teen USA 2005 Allie LeForce and Chet Buchanan, Las Vegas radio and television presenter, served as hosts for the pageant, which live online. The procession did not take place in the U.S., but in the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas.

Doty is the second Texan to be named Miss Teen USA. Christie Lee Woods, who was later “Amazing Race” contestant, won the title in 1996.
