Teams want a roundtable with the International Cycling Union because of a dispute radio

The professional cycling teams invited to a roundtable discussion with International Cycling Union) two-way radio in a dispute that threatened to derail the key to the starting of races at the beginning of the season.

International Cycling Union is phasing out two-way radios out of the professional peloton as they think teams have come to rely also on their use, and can also be used to strategic advantage.

Some teams have argued wireless necessary for security reasons, with the sports management and riders are able to warn of the dangers on the road such as oil spills, drilling or dangerous bends in the mountains.

The decision met with the International Cycling Union with a mixed reaction in the peloton, with some riders explicitly calls for drastic measures.
